Micheal Terrance Schleith, 75, of Chillicothe, passed from this life to his heavenly home at 8:42pm, on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born August 18, 1940, to the late Walter Carl and Bernyce Jeanette Schleith in Minneapolis, MN. He is survived by the love of his life, CarolAnn, along with his four children, Diana (Michael) Canterbury, of Scott Depot, WV, Teresa Schleith Becker, of New York, NY, Matthew Schleith, of Chillicothe, and Mark Schleith and his girlfriend, Kerri Morgan, of Cincinnati; two beloved grandchildren, Ariel Showalter, of Scott Depot, WV, and Jacob Schleith, of Chillicothe; and one brother, David Schleith, of Uncasville, CT. In addition to his parents, Micheal was preceded in death by his sister, Wendy Schleith. Micheal proudly served his country as a radioman in the United States Navy for more than 28 years, rising to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. While working full time to provide for his family, he simultaneously pursued his lifelong goal of attaining his college degree. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marshall University in Huntington WV, and was an avid Marshall Thundering Herd football fan until the end – Go Herd!! Micheal was a man of great faith and loved his church family; His greatest joy was being able to serve the Lord. He loved singing in the choir and also served as a deacon, usher, and Sunday school teacher. At his request, there will be no public calling hours. A military graveside service, conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Tim Cline officiating.
