Michael Lawrence Wiley passed away on June 3, 2024, in Chillicothe, Ohio, at the age of 46. He was born on January 19, 1978, in Columbus, Ohio, to his loving parents Charles Wiley and Wanda Kirk who survive. He was a cherished son, brother, partner, father, and friend whose presence brought light and warmth to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his papaw, Charles "CD" Wiley, and his baby brother, Blake Abraham Carpenter, and many others.
Michael is survived by his beloved life-long partner, Erica (Zangri) Wiley, his cherished beautiful daughters Abigail and Lillian Wiley, his grammy Betty Wiley, Todd (Brianne) Perry, Ryan Wiley, Justin Wiley, Maranda Cordell, Danny Cordell, Eric Diehl, Josh (Billie) Kirk, Jenifer Kirk, and many other special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed, but his memory will be forever cherished.
A graduate of Unioto High School, class of 1996, Michael also served in the Army from 1996 to 1999, stationed in Darmstadt, Germany, a place that he held close in his heart. Following his military service, Michael worked as a painter at Perfection Plus, where his dedication and hard work shone brightly.
Michael had a passion for life and a wide array of interests. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace and joy in nature and the great outdoors. He was a dedicated fan of football, especially Ohio State and the Browns, and took immense pride in supporting his daughters in all their endeavors, always cheering them on as their number one fan.
Known for his warm and welcoming personality, Michael never knew a stranger. He was a friend to all who crossed his path, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer his grace without judgment. His gift for conversation and storytelling made him a beloved figure in the lives of many. Michael had a love for collecting things and sharing his knowledge with everyone around him, embodying a spirit of curiosity and generosity that touched the lives of many.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects beginning at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Avenue. A Celebration of Michael's Life will begin at 2:00 pm. In honoring Michael's memory, may we carry forward his legacy of kindness, compassion, and love for one another.
