Michael Short

Michael Allen Short, 77 of Kingston Ohio passed away peacefully on October 23 2023 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
Michael was born on November 4th 1945 the son of William Edward Short and Marcellene Short. Michael is survived by his sister Valerie Porter (Short) and family, son Michael Short (Natasha) and family, son Brent Short, and longtime friend Karen Streitenberger.
Michael was a longtime employee of Kenworth Truck Company. Michael also was a large supporter of Zane Trace Schools and ran the Zane Trace Athletic Boosters concession stands for many years. In his free time Michael enjoyed attending dirt track races with his boys and supporting local racers, especially the Houser family who he dearly loved. Michael was also a big fan of Ohio State Athletics.
Michael attended Kingston United Methodist Church and more recently Mt Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Kingston Ohio.
The family would like to thank Valley View Care Center in Frankfort Ohio for the wonderful care provided over the last year and a special thank you to Shannon Hughes-Elliott and Jessica Cremeans for the care and support provided not only to our father but the support shown to the entire family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday evening from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
