Michael Schaeffer

Michael N. Schaeffer, 42, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2023, at home after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer.   Michael was born in Chillicothe on September 14, 1980.   Michael is survived by his father and step-mother John and Heather Schaeffer, of Chillicothe; mother Julie Bostick of Columbus; son Brock Schaeffer; brothers Johnny Schaeffer of Columbus, and Dylan Schaeffer; sister Autumn Schaeffer; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded by his grandparents and his brother Matt Schaeffer.   Michael was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and Pickaway-Ross Vocational School. He worked at Three C Body Shop as a painter for 15 years. He loved cars and took pride in his Monte Carlo SS. Michael was a loving father and his biggest joy was his son, Brock.   The family wants to give special thanks to the James Cancer Center, Holzer Home Health, and Adena Hospice for all their care, support and treating Michael like family.   A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
