Mike was a man of deep faith. He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God from 1971-1995. In 1996 up until his passing, he faithfully served as a deacon of Grace Communion International, where he found great purpose and fellowship in service to his church community. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. After returning home, he earned his bachelor's degree in education from Ohio University, a milestone that reflected his commitment to growth and learning. He then dedicated 35 years of employment to Mead Paper Company in the print shop and served as the industrial photographer before retiring.
In his later years, he followed his passion for health and fitness by opening Body Structure with his dear friend, Tina Rinehart, which later transitioned to Mike's Paint Street Gym; inspiring others with his knowledge and dedication well into his early 70's. A man of many talents and interests, Mike found joy in photography, painting, golfing, and sunbathing during his retirement years in Florida. He had a deep love for music, often playing the banjo and mandolin; and spent time creating and crafting melodies that reflected his thoughtful spirit.
