Michael Haines

Michael J. Haines, 64, of Chillicothe, affectionately known as "Cowboy" or "Ab," died unexpectedly at 7:29pm March 15, 2012, in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born October 1, 1947, in Greenfield, OH, to the late Forest E., Sr. and Margaret J. (Cokonougher) Haines. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Amanda D. (Arin) Peters, Chillicothe; son Ethan Haines, Chillicothe; two grandchildren Karlie and Lane Peters; the mother of his children, Donna Haines; brothers and sisters Forest E. Haines, Jr.; Mary Jo (Garry) Proehl; Jan (Rick) Haines Binkowski; Maranda (Tim) Irvin; Inez Ruth; and Tom (Karen) Haines. He was predeceased by brothers Wayne and Joseph Haines; and an infant brother. Ab worked for the City of Chillicothe and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Navy. He loved to ride horses and go trail riding. He also enjoyed going hunting. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, March 20, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
