Michael Lee Gregg, 64, of Chillicothe, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 4, 2018, at his home, following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born March 8, 1954, in Chillicothe, to the late Charles and Betty (Dudley) Gregg. On April 24, 1987, he married Karen (Bell) Gregg, and together they shared 31 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Michel (Brad Yerian) Grooms, of Washington Court House, and Eli (Rebecca) Dennewitz, of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, Sydney (John) Lecea, Emylee Grooms, Levi Gregg, Piper Grooms, Grace Dennewitz, and Taran Dennewitz; and one great-granddaughter, Lula Lecea. In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Gregg, and a sister, Robin Snow.
Michael was a graduate of Unioto High School, class of 1972. He went on to work for the Mead Paper Company for 38 years before retiring in 2012. In his free time, he enjoyed taking trips with his wife Karen.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Minton. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a visitation on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
