Michael Cottrill

Michael H. Cottrill, 68, of Chillicothe, died at 5:00am April 22, 2012, at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born November 1, 1943, to George W. and Freda A. (Sullivan) Cottrill. He was married to the former Jane Swisher, who survives. Also surviving is his daughter Amy Jo Cottrill and her friend Jason Gibson, of Oregon; brothers and sisters-in-law Ronald (Duena) Cottrill, Chillicothe; Tim (Cassie) Cottrill, Cincinnati; Tony (Nancy) Cottrill, Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Mike was also known as father to several step-children throughout the years that he cared very deeply for. He was predeceased by his parents, George W. and Freda Cottrill; his brother George Cottrill; and sisters: Betty Cottrill, Regina Cottrill and Shelby Gervais. Mike was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Buckeyes, the Browns and the Indians. He would have been an excellent sports commentator. Mike loved to travel and in his younger years visited most of the 50 States, his life was truly an adventure. He was a member of Brookside Church. Mike was a person of faith. Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm Wednesday, April 25, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. David Dean officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Thursday at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 3-5pm at Haller Funeral Home.
