Michael Eugene Colter passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, after a courageous battle, at Franciscan Health, Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on September 21, 1976, to Robert Baker and Judy Colter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Dawn (Gifford), his son, Michael Colter Jr. of Chillicothe, his daughters, Mikaela, Ariana, Parker, and Paisley Colter all of Indianapolis, his father, Robert Baker of Columbus, his sisters, Bobbie Sue Baker and Christina Baker both of Columbus, Sister-in-law Angel (David "Patrick") Thompson, Brother-in-law, Aaron (Kimberly) Gifford, special uncle, Bill Colley, his nephews Devin Gifford, Hunter Gifford, Dustin Strausbaugh, Jordan Young, and John Boswell, his nieces Tiera Fultz, Indika Strausbaugh, and Kaylie Thompson, along with many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Baker (Colter), his mother in law, Debra Gifford and his father in law, Keith Gifford.
Michael graduated from Huntington High School and Pickaway Ross Career and Technology Center in 1995, was a member of The Creek Church, and a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 20.
Michael had a very sarcastic sense of humor with a hard external shell but once you got through it you knew that he genuinely loved you and would fight to the ends of the earth for you. He loved his family more than life itself and would always remember just how special all of the "little things" were especially for all 4 of his Daddy's girls. If you knew Michael then you admired his skills of being a father and the pride he took in it. Michael's last heroic action on this earth was so selflessly being an organ donor that helped directly save several other people's lives. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed..
