Michael Dean Chester

Michael Dean Chester, 64, of Chillicothe, passed away early Monday morning, April 20, 2026 at Hopewell Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness.

He was born January 10, 1962, in Chillicothe, son of Glenn and Irma Chester. On September 21, 2012, he married his beloved wife, Helen (Downing) Chester, who survives. Also surviving is their son, James Michael Dean Chester; his siblings, Bobby (Alice) Chester, Cathy (Ivan) Randolph, Penny (Jeff) Blanton, and Carol Chester; his close friends, Rick, Nick, and Tony Pummel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Mike was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1980. He went on to work for Ron’s Landscaping for more than 20 years before retiring. In his free time, he loved being outdoors and going fishing. He also enjoyed taking long drives with Helen.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services at this time. A celebration of life will be planned and announced in the coming weeks.
