Michael Beard

Michael "Mike" David Beard, 54, of Chillicothe, was born in Circleville, OH on February 20, 1969, and died on June 14, 2023, following an extended illness.
Mike is survived by his wife, Rebecca, parents, Thomas and Ginger (Hosler) Beard, daughters, Kaitlyn and Olivia Beard, grandson, Finn, and stepsons Ethan Lane and Austin Leach. Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Westcamp.
In 1987, Mike graduated from Unioto High School and attended Hocking Technical College with a focus on lumber grading. He worked at Wonder Bread, and was a millwright on many construction projects.
Mike was an avid fisherman and set a goal of becoming a Master Angler in Ohio, which required catching a wide variety of native fish in one year; his best fishing memories were made at the Deer Creek Spillway. Mike's latest and greatest adventure was restoring an old fishing boat; despite his illness, he spent countless hours preparing it to be seaworthy.
The family would like to extend gratitude to special caregivers Amy Lawson and Brittany Pfeifer. The care, friendship and love shown to Mike over the past several years meant the world to him and made his illness more tolerable.
