Merle Hardbarger

Merle "Fred" Fredrick Hardbarger, 64, of Chillicothe, died 1:45 pm, Friday, June 13, 2014, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born June 10, 1950 in Ross Co. to the late Denver and Iris Woods Hardbarger. On January 24, 1970 he married the former Margaret A. Nolan, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Teresa (James) Myers, Greenfield, Michelle Hardbarger and Kimberly (Adam) Jones, both of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, James and Mary Myers, Traci Roush, Nichole Garrett, and Jordan and Laynee Jones; sisters, Debbie Hydell, Ava Hardbarger, Donna (Rodney) Gragg and Darlene Hardbarger; a brother Denver M. Hardbarger; and many friends at Ritchie Foods. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Lee Hardbarger and two sisters, Dana Norman and Debra Kellough. Mr. Hardbarger was employed by Ritchie Foods and was loved dirt track auto racing, hunting and fishing. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Dennis Garman officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 6-9 pm Tuesday at Haller's.
