Melvin L. Wright, 81, of Chillicothe, passed away at his home at 11:45pm Tuesday, October 23, 2018, following an extended illness.   He was born August 21, 1937, in Delaware County, OH, to the late Paul E. and Ethel M. (Addy) Wright. On August 15, 1959, he married the former Barbara J. Gragg, who survives.   Also surviving are their children: Sheila (Phillip) Blevins, Debbie (Rick) Kellough, Tim (Leslie) Wright, and David Wright, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Lee (Anna) Blevins, Ashley (Josh) Sparks, Matthew (Bekah) Blevins, Tim Wright and Julia Wright; great-grandchildren: Joshua Sparks, Joslyn Sparks, and Matthew "Mattie" Blevins II; his brothers: Raymond and Robert (Kathy) Wright, all of Chillicothe; and his brothers-in-law Tommy and Larry Gragg. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister Marilyn Henson; and brothers: Paul, Gale and Larry Wright.   Melvin was a graduate of the former Twin High School and retired from the VA Medical Center following 30 years of service as an aid. He was a member of the Sunrush Church of Christ and loved genealogy, having collected over 30,000 names.   Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, October 27, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Minister Ron Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery.
