Melvin Jones

Melvin Ray Jones, 68, of Chillicothe, died 10:09 pm, Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born October 16, 1945 to the late Ray W. and Mabel Stribling Jones. On May 11, 1998 he married the former Sandra Thompson, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Brent (Charlie) Jones and Adam (Kimberly) Jones, both of Chillicothe, Melody (Michael) Doud, of Fontana, CA and Michelle Graves, of Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren, Noah, Chloe, Jordan and Laynee Jones; a stepson, Jay (Pam) Behmer, of Chillicothe, and three step-grandchildren, Shawn, Krista and Amanda Behmer; and a brother Donald Jones. Mr. Jones operated the Interstate Battery franchise and was a US Air Force veteran. Private graveside services will be held in the Washburn Cemetery, Pike Co., OH at the convenience of the family, with Bruce Hines officiating.
