Melissa Speakman

Melissa Dale Speakman, 45, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 30, 2015. She was born February 5, 1970, to Larry D. and Ruth Ann (Frey) Speakman. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Christian Lee Curtis, of Chillicothe; her sisters, Tracey (Doug) Mitten, of Hallsville, Michele (John) Fitzpatrick, Angie (Chad) Zeisler, and Lynnette Speakman, all of Chillicothe; her brothers, Tim (Tammy) Speakman, and Brian Speakman, both of Chillicothe; and Chris (Suzy) Speakman, of Utah; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Melissa was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and received her patient care technician certification from Pickaway-Ross Adult Education Center. Her son Christian was her pride and joy, and she loved her nieces and nephews very much. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held 5:00pm Monday, July 6, 2015 at Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Heskitt officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 3:00pm until the time of the service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Melissa Speakman Memorial Fund at Homeland Credit Union to help the family with funeral expenses.
