Melinda Smith

Melinda Margaret Smith passed away at the Heritage (Traditions), in Chillicothe, Ohio on July 7, 2021. She was 80 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite and Arnold Smith. She is survived by sister, Leatrice Phillips (Ed Rosage); brothers Warren Smith (Kathy) and Irvin Smith (Barbara); nieces Eileen Jewett and Jessica Smith; nephews Eric and Craig Phillips; and longtime friends Marsha and Andy Reisinger.
Melinda was born July 14, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, and grew up in Linworth, Ohio. She was active in 4-H and Methodist Youth fellowship. She graduated from Worthington High School and Ohio State University.
Melinda was a talented artist. She taught art in the Circleville public schools and the Chillicothe public schools for over 25 years. She loved art and she loved her students.
Melinda was a devout Christian, always believing in God's love and redemption. The Holy Bible was her guide.
A private celebration of Melinda's life will be held in October.
