Melinda Johnson

Melinda R. Johnson, 39, died at 6:02pm, Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Ohio State University Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born May 1, 1975, in Chillicothe to Omer A. and Linda F. (Bishop) Johnson, who survive. Also surviving are her brother Marty Johnson, Chillicothe; sister and brother-in-law Jennifer (Chris) Shoemaker, Bainbridge; her maternal grandmother Patsy Bishop, of Leesburg; nieces Shelby and Savanah Shoemaker, Bainbridge; many aunts, uncles and cousins including a special cousin Melissa Hines Blevins; and a special friend Andy Zarelli. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Luther & Rosie Johnson; her maternal grandfather Paul Bishop; an aunt Sandy Hines; and cousins Erin Hines; and Misty and Neil Johnson. Mel was a graduate of Paint Valley High School, Class of 1994. She fought a courageous battle her entire life and has now gone on to Heaven to be in Jesus' arms. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, July 29, at the Plug Run CCCU on Mingo Road, with Pastor David Marhoover officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery.
