May Sheets

May E. "Toots" Sheets, 82, of Chillicothe, died 4:25 am, January 3, 2013, at Kindred Care of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. She was born August 30, 1930 in Chillicothe to the late Victor and Goldie Bennett Meacham. On November 14, 1952 she married the late James A. Sheets, who died July 3, 1979. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy (William) Sotos, of Angleton, TX; a granddaughter, Angela Wright, of Chillicothe (the apple of her eye); two great-grandchildren, Andrea and Tonda Flannery; a step-daughter, Patricia (Charlie) Schaeffer; a step-son, Herbert Rainer; and a step-grandchild, Jacob Schaeffer. Other survivors include brother-in-law Harold (Linda) Sheets of Circleville, OH and sisters-in-law Jean and Sandy Sheets of Chillicothe, OH. May was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Aspel, Francis Stockton, Dorothy Meacham, Nellie Newland and an infant sister along with brothers-in-law Robert, Clinton, and Verne Sheets. Mrs. Sheets worked eight years for the Rubbermaid Company and sixteen years in the meat department of the A & P Grocery Store. She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 600 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion Post 757 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Amvets. The family wishes to thank everyone at Kindred Care of Chillicothe for their kind care. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Concord Church Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5pm Sunday at Haller's.
