Maxine Harper

Maxine D. Harper Maxine D. Harper, 83, of Chillicothe, died 8:00 am, Friday, September 15, 2006, in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home. She most recently resided in Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born September 20, 2006 in Jackson, OH to the late Grover Cleveland Harper and Ethel Eva Scott. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Julia Harper, of Chillicothe; niece and nephews, Sue and Norman Vesely, of Reynoldsburg, OH, Larry and Joyce Sherwood, of Castle Rock, CO, Glendon and Marilyn Brown, of Escanaba, MI, Gary and Sandra Sherwood, and Scott and Ruby Sherwood, of Londonderry, Rick and Lisa Harper, Loretta and Joe McNeal and Stephen and Linda Brown, all of Chillicothe; fifteen great nieces and nephews and eleven great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by a very special identical twin sister, Wylodine G. Brown, a brother, K. Lamar Harper, and a sister, C. Lucille Sherwood. She was married to Roy Bartlett and later Robert Harness Jr. Maxine was a graduate of Coalton High School. She worked for the US Shoe Corporation and the Ross County Title Department. She devoted her life to her family and had many special friends throughout her life including Sadie Evans and cousins, Helen Brohard and Marcille Pontious. Her smile and caring ways will always be remembered. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. James Grove officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Monday at Haller's.
