Matthew Myers

Matthew Lee Myers passed away on October 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Chillicothe on May 11, 1975, to Terry and A. Kathrine (Sparks) Myers.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Myers (Humphries), his children, Norah (Breadon Collier) and Ben Myers, his mother A. Kathrine Myers, dear friends, Ed Onusko and Jenny Morgan, and his special friends, Andy Uhrig and Mark Elick. He will also be sadly missed by many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Myers.

Matt was a proud pipefitter and outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, and mushroom hunting. He was a devout Christian having attended Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church at a young age. Later attending First Baptist Church Greenfield, United Freewill Baptist Church, and currently at Buckskin Community Church. During his time at these churches, he was a Worship leader, which he loved as he played guitar and sang. He also served as Chaplin for Trail Life USA Troop 0506.

A special thank you to Highland District Hospital Oncology Department, and Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Matt.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday October 18, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. A Celebration of Matt's Life will begin at 1:00pm.

Donations in Matt's memory to the St. Jude's Children Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
