Maryland Cousins

Maryland M. Cousins, 69, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 6:34am February 13, 2023, at OSU Wexner following a brief illness.   She was born May 20, 1953, in Chillicothe, to the late Howard and Barbara Sue (Brown) Jones.  On July 18, 2004, she married Larry R. Cousins, Sr., with whom she shared over 47 years together.   Also surviving are her twin daughters Deanna (Chris) Durant, of Dayton, OH; and Della (Brad) Aytch, of Galloway, OH; grandchildren Ashleigh Shackleford and Bradley E. Aytch, Jr.; 3 step-children Larry, Jr., Rolanda "Micki" and Skyland (Jennifer) Cousins; her brother Charles R. (Anita) Brown; sisters Victoria Lynch, Debra Jones, Iona "Jodie" (Bill "Junior") Cunningham, all of Chillicothe, and Barbara Sue "Susie" (Brown) Monczyk, of California; in-laws Patricia Cousins, Lovada Cousins, Marvene Cousins, Michael (Crystal) Cousins, Kathy (Charlie) Sims, Victor Cousins; special friends Pean Beatty, Pat Seward, Dot Stone; and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Barbara Sue and Howard Jones, a sister Lorraine Elder, a brother Jamico "Jimmy" Elder, in-laws George Cousins, Ronald Cousins, Doug (Marjorie) Cousins, Skip Cousins, Sandy Cousins; and special friends Debra "Deb" Beverly and Stephanie Hicks.   Her funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, February 17, at the old Zion Baptist Church, 536 Mill St., Chillicothe.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm Friday at the church.
