Mary Yoshida

Mary Yoshida Mary Shirachi Yoshida, 100, of Chillicothe, formerly of Dayton, OH, died 8:15 pm, January 11, 2007 in Westmoreland Place. She was born February 23, 1906 in Salina, CA. She was married on February 2, 1932 to James N. Yoshida, who preceded her in death. In 1945, after being interned during World War II, they moved to Dayton, OH. Surviving is a son, Noble (Fumie) Yoshida, of Chillicothe; a grandson, David (Mandy) Yoshida; granddaughter, Annette (Rob) Lively; a brother, Harry (Dorothy) Shirachi; three great grandchildren, Kylie Yoshida, Brandon and Kenneth Lively; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Shirachi; and two sisters, Eva Urabe and Rose Okamoto. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in the Christ United Methodist Church, Kettering, OH with Dr. Judith Hadley officiating. Burial will follow in David's Cemetery, Kettering. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home.
