Mary Y. Thomas, 76, of Frankfort, OH passed away on April 23, 2025 at 7:55 am.
She was born on June 8, 1948 in Powellton, West Virginia to the late Tom and Ruby (Wright) Townsend. On October 12, 1966 she married the late Gary Thomas.
She is survived by her children: Ray (Regina) Thomas, of Chillicothe; Candice Thomas, of Columbus; Aaron Thomas, of Obetz; grandchildren: Nathan, Tyler, and Hayden Thomas; siblings: Micheal Townsend, Victoria Frazier, Tammy Knight; special friend Chris Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings: Tom Townsend III, and Theresa Townsend.
Mary was an excellent housekeeper and never let anything be out of place. She spent a lot of time in her garden growing lilies, tulips, and numerous other flowers. She had a love for all animals but had a special love for dogs.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308 Lick Run Rd. #A, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10am – 12pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Haller Funeral Home and Crematory, 1661 Western Ave. Chillicothe, OH, 45601. Graveside services will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg, OH at 2:00pm.
