Mary Saunders

Mary S. Saunders, 94, of Chillicothe, died 1:00am Monday, May 15, 2006, at her residence in Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born September 6, 1911, in Chillicothe, to the late Joseph L. and Anna Marie (Figlestahler) Schilder. Her husband, Ora "Buck" Saunders, preceded her in death on July 1, 1959. Surviving are her great-nephew John R. (Kathy) Bryan and their children: Joe, Jason, and Tracy, all of New Holland; her great-niece Julie (Jeff) Garinger, and their children: Jenny, Jessica, and Jaclyn, all of Clarksburg. Over the years, she had a group of many friends in the Chillicothe area that she enjoyed traveling, shopping, and dining with. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00am until 12:30pm at Haller Funeral Home.
