M. Madeline Rice M. Madeline Rice, 63, of Chillicothe, died 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 6, 2008 in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 10, 2008 in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Marty Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 pm Wednesday at Haller's. She was born August 25, 1944 in Chillicothe to Wesley and Madge Carroll Starling. On November 21, 1973 she married Bill Rice, who died in April of 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Robin (Bill) Sunderland, of Galena, OH; a granddaughter, Stephanie Sunderland, of Galena, OH; four sisters, Barbara Johnson, Lorraine O'Leary, and Delores (Tom) Miller, all of Chillicothe and Doris (Lewis) Bray, of Bainbridge; two brothers, Gilbert and Clarence Starling, both of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews to whom she was like a mother, including a special niece, Jackie (Roger) Bost, of Chillicothe. Madeline was a cook and last worked for the AMVETS Post 4 and was an attendant at the Quick Clean Laundromat. Madeline found the Lord during her hospital stay.
