Mary Lou Noel

It is with broken hearts that we announce that Mary Lou (Riley) Noel has passed peacefully from this world surrounded by her family on August 28, 2025. Mary Lou retired from Scioto Valley Local Schools where she taught, loved, and inspired many children over the years. She lived her life giving and helping all those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jack C. Noel, her infant daughter, Theresa Kay Noel, her parents, Joseph and Bertha Riley, her brother, Larry Riley and many of her in-laws. She is survived by her children, Shane Noel, Lisa (Mike) Keesee, Jackie (David) Wacaster and Brett Riley (Welly) Noel. Her grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Harvey, Chad (Heather) Keesee, Levi (Liat) Rooker, Colt Rooker, Heather Tarlton, Cassie Keesee, and Courtney (Logan) Green. Her great-grandchildren, Laikin Tarlton, Tali, Pinhas, Jack Rooker, Finn Rooker, Kaiser Keesee, Kobey Wallette, Harper Harvey, Amelia Kelley, and Nolan Green. Her siblings, Joseph R. (Sylvia) Riley, and JoAn (Riley) DuPree. As well as many loved nieces and nephews.

May the angels safely deliver her to her final resting place. As per her wishes, there will be no public services. We ask that you only remember her and if you wish to honor her memory, please give to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or Adena Hospice, who took wonderful care of her and us during our times of need.
