Mary Matters

Mary Ashworth Matters, 70, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior, 12:05 am, September 11, 2010, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born February 29, 1940 in Ross Co. to Gilbert and Louise Denner Ashworth. Survivors include her children, Kim (Dan) Hodge, Nora Cummins, Debbie Collins, Richie Ramsey and Walt Matters, all of Pennsylvania; six granddaughters; seven grandsons; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Watkins and Kathy (Jim) Cartee; seven brothers, Delbert (Phyllis), Frank, Larry (Brenda), Joe (Christy), Keith (Linda), Gary (Brenda), and Jeff (Diana) Ashworth; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Michael Golob; and a special friend, Marge Betts. She was preceded in death by her parents; a special grandfather, Marion Denner; an infant son; a daughter; a grandson; two brothers, Ivan and Donald Ashworth; and a sister, Julia Dennis. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. James Taylor officiating. Private graveside services, will be held at the convenience of the family, in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Haller's, on Wednesday.
