Mary Ann Krug

Mary Ann Krug passed away on January 15, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on July 20, 1935, to the late John Edwin and Ida May (Parker) Cahill.

Mary Ann Krug was a long-time resident of Chillicothe and Bainbridge, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband James C Krug (Jim). She was also preceded by sisters Virginia Schrader, Mildred Cramer and Carol Lane; brothers Eddie Cahill and Jackie Cahill. She is survived by a brother Thomas Cahill of Dayton, Ohio and five daughters Peggy Glatz, Nancy Minney, Dorothy Balzer, Mary Lou Mason and Kathy Cloud along with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann was a co-owner of Krug's Dairy Queen in Bainbridge and a registered nurse with Drs. Maccarter and McKell Physicians, Chillicothe Hospital and Chillicothe Family Physicians. She was involved in her Bainbridge community including Girl Scouts, volunteer nursing service, Fall Festival of Leaves leadership and Paxton Area Life Squad. She retired from Ross County Home Health. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic_ Church, Chillicothe. She spent some of her retirement years with her family in Florida.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church followed by burial at St. Margaret Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Mary Church, the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
