Mary Anne (Smith) Keys, 52, of Chillicothe, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 21, 2022, following a short battle with cancer.
She was born June 25, 1969 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Bobby Lee and Agnes Anna (McNaughton) Smith.
Surviving is her daughter, Annalee Marie Brown, of Chillicothe; two siblings, Robert Allen Smith, and Katrina Marie Smith, both of Chillicothe; step-siblings, Annette Clifford, Patty Rice, Tracy Selvage, and Penny Flanary; and her step-mother, Sharon Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-sibling, Sam Clifford.
Mary was a graduate of Waverly High School, class of 1988. She went on to become a nurse's aide, working in home health for many years before her cancer diagnosis prevented her from continuing.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt, special thank you to Melissa Hughes and her family for the outstanding care they gave Mary over the last several months of her life. They would also like to thank the National Church Residences Hospice Team for all of their love and care before her passing.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation services are being performed. A private family service is being held on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
