Mary Kellenberger

Mary E. Kellenberger, 92, of Chillicothe, died at 10:35pm Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born May 26, 1915, in Chillicothe to the late Walter and Mabel (Banks) Metzger. On April 8, 1937, she married Charles S. Kellenberger, who preceded her in death in 1986. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, June 17, at the First Presbyterian Church Chapel under the direction of Haller Funeral Home with Rev. James Grove officiating. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Nancy Kellenberger, of Chillicothe; daughter Susan Porter, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; grandsons Aaron B. Kellenberger, Cincinnati; Evan T. (Elizabeth) Kellenberger, Phoenixville, PA; sisters Jean Hayward, Zelienople, PA; Janet (Joseph) Broder, Birmingham, AL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law Dolores and Caesar Lungo; and a brother-in-law Charles Hayward. Mary was a volunteer at Adena Regional Medical Center with over 10,000 hours of service. She also was a member of the Ross County Farm Bureau Council, the Ohio State Mothers Club, the Phi Beta Psi Sorority, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Old Rock Guild.
