Mary G. Johnson, 79, of Chillicothe, died on Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home, following a brief illness.
She was born February 19, 1942, in Jackson, Ohio, to the late William E. and Edith Freeman. On April 28, 1962, she married the late John William Johnson.
Surviving are two daughters, Terry Johnson, of Coolville, Ohio, and Debbie Thomas, of Chillicothe; a grandson, Travis Hicks, of Chillicothe; her sister, Donna (Alfred) Johnson, of Lyndon, Ohio; her brother, Bill (Cindy) Freeman, of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Francis Payne, of Richmondale, and Delores (Bill) Rogers, of Kansas City, MO; two nieces, Darla Johnson, of Chillicothe, and Lori Payne, of Columbus; two nephews, Mark (Robin) Payne, and Richard (Kelly) Payne, both of Chillicothe; and special friends, Melvin (Jeri) Schoch, Louise (Jerry) Smith, Cliff (Erleen) Coursey, Sharon Echard, Gloria Speakman, Judy Tanner, and Joan Oxendine.
Mary was a graduate of Southeastern High School, class of 1959.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
