Mary E. Irwin, 76, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully at 5:55am on November 3, 2024, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, following a brief illness.



She was born October 20, 1948, in Chillicothe to the late Harry and Ruth (Schmidt) Kendall.  On December 31, 1970, she was united in marriage to James E. Irwin at St. Peter Church, Chillicothe.



Mary leaves behind her husband, Jim; daughter and son-in-law Lee Anne (Rick) Raybould, of Westerville; son and daughter-in-law Travis (Meredith) Irwin, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Ryan and Derrick Raybould, both of Westerville, and Cassandra and Simon Irwin, both of Chillicothe; and a sister Ann Davis, of Chillicothe.



Mary was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where she had been a member of the choir.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.  Mary had worked at the former Wear-Ever Co. and for Kitchen Collection.



A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon, Friday, November 8, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.  Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either: The OSU Wexner Medical Center, Healthcare Workers Wellness Fund, #316941 by clicking: https://www.giveto.osu.edu/makeagift/details/316941 ; or to the: Ross Co.
