Mary Hoffman

Mary Louise Hoffman, 81, of Chillicothe, died at 2:00pm Saturday, June 23, 2007, in Valley View Alzheimer's Care Center, Frankfort, following a brief illness. Mary Louise was born May 31, 1926, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Joseph and Catherine (Spears) Jenkins. On December 23, 1946, she married William C. Holt, who preceded her in death on May 9, 2001. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Mike Pontious; grandchildren Aaron and Tracy Pontious; a great-grandson Jaden Wyatt Pontious; a sister Juanita Ward, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant brother, a brother Clarence Jenkins; and a sister Norma Minser. Mary Louise worked at Sears Department Store in the Home Improvement section. She was a member of Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her family and serving the roll of mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. James Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 11am until 1pm at Haller Funeral Home.
