Mary R. Hensley, 70, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. She left this life to live with our Lord following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, at 1:00 p.m. at Haller Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Patmore officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston, Ohio. Friends may call at Haller's on Friday, July 4, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mary was born April 19, 1938, in Jackson, Ohio, to William Thomas and Laura Pauline (Baer) Israel. On May 26, 1956, she married Robert E. Hensley who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters Laura (Leon) Weisenberger, Beth (David) Orr, and Jana Miller; 11 grandchildren: Jason (Heather), Karl (Cassie Shaw), Joshua (Natalie), Kevin, Andrew and Mary Weisenberger; India and Daniele Naas; Sarah, Thomas and William Orr; as well as four great grandchildren: Joseph, Alexis, Lillian and Aamiah Weisenberger. She is also survived by her stepmother Clara Glass Israel; sisters Carol (Steve) Boswell, and Regina (Bill) Terry; brothers Edward Israel, Robert (Sandy) Israel, and Raymond Israel. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Sonja Israel. Mary graduated salutatorian from Coalton High School in 1956. She obtained state and national recognition as a medical staff services professional and was a Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC). She retired from Adena Regional Medical Center in 1998 as the Director of Medical Staff Services after 20 years of service. She also was the former secretary of the Ross County Medical Society. She previously worked at Fulfillment Corporation of America in Marion, Ohio.
