Mary Fisher

Mary Jane Fisher, 89, of Londonderry, died 12:40 pm, Friday, June 1, 2012, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born December 15, 1922 in Ross Co. to the late Charles and Goldie Buskirk Landrum. On August 6, 1965 she married Russell A. Fisher, who died January 31, 2011. Survivors include her children, Suzanne (Darrell) Lechner and Michael (Phyllis) Ackley, both of Chillicothe; five grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Janet Ackley. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Larry Ackley; two sisters, Elaine Landrum and Marguerite Brown; and a brother, Merle Landrum. Mrs. Fisher loved to cook and bake. Her fresh baked pies will be especially missed. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening and canning. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
