Mary L. Davis Mary L. Davis, 92, of Chillicothe, died 8:05 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2007, in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was born January 27, 1915 in Lyndon, OH to the late Edgar and Lula Mitchell Lowe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Davis Sr., who died in October of 1973. Survivors include two sons, Rodney (Juanita) Davis Jr., of Chillicothe and James (Nancy) Davis, of Ft. Myers, FL; two granddaughters, Ronda Davis, of Chillicothe, and Michelle Robinson, of Tuscola, IL; a step granddaughter, Jana Addy; 8 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nellie Smith, of Chillicothe, Barbara Vinson and Genevieve Mixon, both of Columbus; a brother, Charles Lowe, of San Antonio, TX; three sisters-in-law, Emma Ragland, Goldie Lowe and Ann Lowe; a devoted cousin, Hazel Mason; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Mary graduated from Frankfort High School in 1932. She was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church, active in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, The Loyal Club, Missionaries, Season Saints and a member of the Ross Co. Community for the Elderly. In 1988 she was woman of the year for Chillicothe district missionary in E.U.M.B.A. She will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank Anna Powell for her love, kindness and devotion during Mary's illness. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 24, 2007 in the Zion Baptist Church, Rev. J. Troy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call 6-8 pm Friday in the Haller Funeral Home.
