Mary Davis

Mary E. Davis, 81, died at 8:41am Wednesday January 30, 2019, at Adena Regional Medical Center.   She was born May 7, 1937, in St. Johns, Newfoundland, to the late John T. and Ellen (Cunningham) Mallard.   She is survived by: her husband of nearly 45 years, Karl F. Davis, Chillicothe; daughters Denice (Rick) Parker, South Salem, Toni (Jim) Murcek, Omaha, NE; son Karl F. (Jackie) Davis II, Chillicothe; step-daughter Sharon Mischal, Omaha, NE; grandchildren: Taylor and Torrie Murcek, Madilyn Thress, Sophia and Nora Jackson; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sisters Maureen Johnson, of Virginia, Barbara (Gary) Phillips, of Canada; brothers Cyril, Edward and Pat Mallard, all of Canada; a sister-in-law Lavetta "Merle" Raney; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Barbara (Daryl) Shewchuk; and Karl's dog Daisy May whom she considered her "grand-baby." She was predeceased by siblings David (Barbara), Jim, Jackie, Gerald and George Mallard, Eileen Murray, Joan Dwyer and Margaret Doucette.   Mary worked many years as the dining room and banquet manager for the former Holiday Inn. She will be remembered for her embracing personality, her giving heart and her lively sense of humor. She loved going shopping especially finding a deal, taking trips to the casino and cooking.   Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, February 4, at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
