Mary V. Brown, 90, of Chillicothe, died at 12:08am Friday, December 2, 2011, in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born March 10, 1921, in Ross Co. to the late Tracy George and Susie Jane (Cash) Patterson. In 1961, she married William P. Brown, who preceded her in death in 1977. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Phyllis (Doug) Ray; son and daughter-in-law Hobart (Martha) Harris, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: David (Tami) Harris, Sacramento, CA; Cindy Harris and her special friend Jim Manson; Diane Harris; and William Scot (Jeanette) Harris, all of Chillicothe; great-grandchildren: Jeremy (Lauren) Harris; William Joseph Harris; Jhera Harris; great-great-grandson Jerin Harris; step-grandson: Douglas A. (Cheryl) Ray; step-great-grandchildren: Madison Ray, Stacy Ray, Paul (Jennifer) Harrington; Lee (Erica) Harrington; and a sister-in-law Lucy Patterson. She was predeceased by a sister Garnett Kimler and a brother Gerald Patterson. Mary retired from the former Mead Paper Co. She was a member of the Mead Local 731 and had attended the New Life CCCU, formerly Richmond Dale CCCU, where she was a member of the Special Ladies ministries. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, December 5, at the New Life CCCU, Richmond Dale, with Dr. David Harris officiating. Burial will be held at Little Mound Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday from 4-6pm at the New Life CCCU, Richmond Dale. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either: the New Life CCCU, 601 Market St., Richmond Dale, OH 45673; or the Adena Nursing Scholarship Fund, c/o Adena Health Foundation, 272 Hospital Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
