Mary Anna Bethel

Mary A. (Sexton) Bethel, 80, of Chillicothe, passed away on December 29, 2025. She was born on March 18, 1945, to the late Elwood and Mary Alice (Buskirk) Sexton.

Surviving are her two daughters, Rogena (Scott) Hiles and Jamee (Shawn) Lindsey; grandchildren, Jordan and Brenden Thomas, Aubrey Lindsey, Leeland Judd; nephew, J.R. Sexton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Sexton.

Mary was the valedictorian of her 1963 high school graduating class at Southeastern. She loved spending time with her family and she was known as “Mamaw” to her grandkids. Mary loved flowers, and her furry grandkids. She enjoyed all sports and was a bigger sports fan than anyone else in the family, but she loved her Ohio State Buckeyes.

A private graveside will be held with family.
