Marvis Jean Huff, 92, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 12, 1923, in Bedford, IN, to the late Quincey and Iola (Rowe) Bridwell. She married Clarence Raymond Huff in 1940, and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1989. Surviving is her daughter, Susanna Jean (John M.) McGuire, of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Kelly Arthur, of New Albany, Karen (Dr. Chris) Gamble, of Bellefontaine, Kimberly (Wesley Haines) McGuire-Haines ESQ., of Hillsboro, Patricia McGuire, of Hillsboro, John Michael McGuire, Jr., of Mary Esther, FL, and Danny S. Huff, of Chillicothe; her great-grandchildren, Tia (Nick) Vicars, of Columbus, Alicia McGuire, of Athens, Taryn (Jeffrey) Day, of San Antonio, Joseph Arthur, and Tyler McGuire, both of Columbus, Amanda McGuire, of Hillsboro, Trenton McGuire, of Columbus, Clarence Nicholas Young, and Hanna Young, both of Bellefontaine, Lauren Roades, Isabella Haines, and Olivia Haines, all of Hillsboro, Brandon Gamble, Conner Gamble, and Zane Gamble, all of Bellefontaine; three great-great-grandchildren, William, Maximus, and Kennedy Vicars; and also one brother, Lowell Bridwell, of Avoca, IN. In addition to her parents and husband, Marvis was preceded in death by a son, Danny Clarence Huff, and six siblings, Donna Goldback, Phyllis Goodman, Doris Bridwell, Iris Kirkman, Rowena Bridwell, and Gary Bridwell. Marvis retired as a cashier after working at Kmart for many years. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe and loved being a member of the Calvary Choir. She enjoyed many activities including reading the Bible, and spending time with her beloved family. She also enjoyed her time spent at Rocky Fork Lake where she would take boat rides with her husband and family. Her funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday at the Church.
