Martin "Bud" Woodfork, Jr., 75, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly Thursday June 5, 2008, at 12:05am in Adena Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, June 10, in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Sherman Johnson officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veteran Honor Guard will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from Noon until 2pm at Haller Funeral Home. Bud was born October 7, 1932, in Chillicothe, to the late Martin and Opal Katherine (Johnson) Woodfork, Sr. He was the widower of Janice (Thomas) Woodfork, who preceded him in death on July 10, 1999. Surviving are his sons John (Kellie) Baggett; Jacob (Maria) Woodfork; Marty (Lori) Woodfork; Steven Woodfork; Brian (Charlena) Woodfork; and William (Tina) Thomas, all of Chillicothe; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara (Woodfork) Herman, Chillicothe; and Donna (Woodfork) Stanley, Columbus; a brother Gary Woodfork, Newark, NJ; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jane Swisher, Chillicothe. He was predeceased by sisters Charlotte Woodfork; and Charlene Maughmer; and a brother Douglas Woodfork. Martin was an Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1956. He retired from the Ross Co. Maintenance Dept. and the VA Hospital. Martin could often be seen around local ball diamonds watching youth baseball. He was loved by many and will be missed.
