Martin James Walker, 53, went to be with the Lord at 4:36pm, January 22, 2015, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born July 27, 1961, in Chillicothe, to Jerry and Carole (Connell) Walker. On January 3, 1986, he married his soulmate Claudia Straube, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother and step-father Carole (Darrell) Cottrill, Chillicothe; his two daughters Steffanie (Brock) Atkins; Nicole Walker (Dustin Phillis); Travis Adams, the closest thing he had to a son; he dearly loved his grandchildren: Kylie Cheyenne Opal Atkins, Kathryn Grace Atkins and Jaxson Dean Walker; his sister Deanna (Randy) Sieber, of Circleville; nieces and nephews: T.J. Adams; Megan, Josh, Matthew (Laura), Brad and Joey Walker; Mandy Loel; Eric Williamson; Eliza Coulter; Anna Elliott; Patty Dudley; and Katie Alibasic. He was predeceased by his father; his beloved grandmother Opal Mae (James) Connell; his twin brother and best friend Marshall K. Walker; a brother John "Andy" Walker; and his sister Jill Harris. Mr. Walker formerly worked at Kenworth and was a licensed realtor for many years. He also proudly served in the US Army. He enjoyed his music loud and was an avid fisherman along with his brother. He loved his sweet furry companions: Chloe, Jack, Chewie and Sadie. "Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses. He sets the time for birth and the time for death; the time for planting and the time for pulling up; the time for killing and the time for healing; the time for tearing down and the time for building; he sets the time for sorrow and the time for joy; the time for mourning and the time for dancing." Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be held Monday, January 26, at 1:00pm in Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
