Martha J. Morrissey, 89, of Chillicothe, passed away at 2:48pm April 22, 2025, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, following an extended illness.
She was born July 23, 1935, in Summit, NJ, to the late Douglas and Ruth (Crosby) Garno.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Holly (Steve) Johnson; son and daughter-in-law Patrick (Brandy) Morrissey, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Megan (Steve) Klipstine, Katie Johnson, Tyler (Hannah) Morrissey, Maggie Morrissey and Lucas Morrissey; great-granddaughters: Margot and Emma Klipstine; and her brothers Douglas and John Garno, and Thomas Garneau. She was predeceased by her son William Morrissey, Jr.; her parents; and her brother Richard Garno.
Martha worked as a Registered Nurse her entire career. She enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and especially loved being "Nana" to her grandchildren.
At her request, following cremation, her ashes will be returned to Vergennes, VT, with her parents.
