Martha E. Fisher, 75, of Londonderry, died 10:44 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, after an extended illness. She was born April 30, 1941 in Ross County to the late John W. and Evangeline Meeker. On June 2, 1962, she married Joseph M. Fisher who survives. Martha, known by friends as Marty, raised her family while making lasting contributions to her friends, family, and the local community. A former teacher, homemaker, government employee, and wife of a farmer...Marty was probably best known for her simple acts of kindness and selflessness that she tirelessly exhibited to all that she came in contact with. A beautiful, kind, caring, and hard-working role model who will be greatly missed. Also surviving are son, Steve (Anita) Fisher of Big Clifty, KY; daughter Sandy (Doug) Welshinger of Flagstaff, AZ; grandchildren Ben, Laura, Lisa, & Sarah Fisher as well as Max, Grace, & Alaina Welshinger. Additionally, she is survived by a great granddaughter, Reagan Fisher. In addition to several aunts, nieces and nephews, she is survived by her brother, John F. "Bud" (Juanita) Meeker, and sister, Sue (Bruce) Kirk. She is predeceased by a granddaughter, Hannah Jo Welshinger. Marty attended Friends Church in Londonderry. Funeral services will be held 10:00 Friday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 Thursday at Haller's.
