Marrilyn Grubb

Marrilyn R. Grubb, 78, of Chillicothe, died Friday, October 3, 2008, in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Roop officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday 1 hour prior to the funeral at Haller Funeral Home. Marrilyn was born October 29, 1929, in Chillicothe, to the late Edward J. and Lela R. Hendrickson Rinehart. She is survived by her daughter Kimberley Free and son-in-law Brent, of Frankfort; son Michael Woods, Chillicothe; grandchildren, whom she referred to as her "precious angles" Marc Anthony Woods, Stephanie Marie Woods, Rachel Nichole Free, and Brandon Martin Free; several nieces and nephews; a special friend Rosella Roop; and her canine companion "Bridgette". She was predeceased by her son Mark Woods; sister and brother-in-law Shirley (Roudy) Oliver; brothers and sisters-in-law Glendon (Helen) Rinehart; and Travis (Helen) Rinehart. Marrilyn retired from the VA Medical Center in 1993 as a purchasing agent following 26 years of service. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1947. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Health Foundation, Friends of Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe.
