Mark Ward

Mark A. Ward, 44, of Kingston, died 7:54 am, Monday, December 20, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born September 17, 1966 in Pike Co. to Vandle R. Ward and Edna M. Beaver. On May 30, 1992 he married Christine A. Ward. In addition to his wife Chris and parents, Vandle (Victoria) Ward and Edna (Herbert) Dyke, survivors include two daughters, Andrea C. Ward and Ashton N. Ward, both at home; two sisters, Angela K. (Chris) Alflen, of Chillicothe and Misty M. Dyke, of Powell, OH; two brothers, Troy A. (Alicia) Dyke and Matthew R. (Keneice) Ward, both of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Stevens, of Circleville; a brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Kathleen Stevens; nieces and nephews, Madeline Stevens, Aaliyah Alflen, Caitlyn Dyke, Brayden Ward, Rylan Stevens, Baylee Ward and Clayton Alflen; and Mark's dogs, Hannah and Tressel. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ervin Ward and his mother-in-law, Colleen Bigwood. Mr. Ward enjoyed coaching his daughters' softball, soccer, and basketball teams. He loved white water rafting and was a faithful fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed playing softball and his guitar. He was a Dispatch Manager at the Wal-Mart Operations Center in Grove City. He attended Zane Trace and was a graduate of Unioto High School. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at Haller's.
