Mark Weldon Smith, also known as Marko Von Dragon, age 64, passed away suddenly on the 14 th of April, 2021.
He was born on the 4 th of April, 1957, to the late Roy James Smith and Martha Mary (Markel) Smith of Chillicothe, Ohio. On the 12 th of June, 1978, he married Donna Jean Kitzmiller, who survives. He is also survived and lovingly remembered by their three children, Jennifer (Atwood) Smith, Justin Smith, and Jamie Smith; and two grandchildren, Drako Smith and Iris Smith; and his best friend Kaylynn Terry.
He was predeceased by both parents and a half-brother, James "Jimmy" Smith; and his best friend of over 40 years, Paul Kitzmiller. He is also survived by a brother, Mike Smith.
Mark will be remembered as a man that constantly fought his personal battles, yet at the same time managed to keep us all smiling and laughing at his brilliantly comedic nature. In his late years, he made amends for many of the transgressions throughout his life. He loved his family, with all of his soul. He loved watching the sunrise and the sunset as often as possible. He loved nature. He loved dogs, and had several as pals during his life. He loved rock'n'roll music. He loved watching films. But most of all, he loved his family.
He is remembered no for how many times he fell during his life, but for how many times he managed to pick himself up and dust off, and carry on up the morning.
As he often joked, when hearing something fanciful, we hear him saying what became a catchphrase over time.
"Take me home, Dad." ~ Mark W. Smith
