Mark Schumann

Mark A. "Shoe-daddy" Schumann, 49, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at 10:47am Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born September 17, 1961, in Chillicothe, to the late Jerry K. and Stella Aspel Schumann. He was also predeceased by a cousin Roger Whitt; a brother-in-law Michael Detty; and his grandparents Herbert and Gladys Schumann. Mark is survived by his long-time companion, Cindy Detty and children Elizabeth Detty; Tabitha Hurley; and Virgil Hurley; brothers-in-law Chris and Mark Detty; a number of grandchildren, whom he loved; his aunt, Maureen Beach; cousins LaDonna (Ed) Lippincott; Jerry Whitt; Tina (Eddie) Edwards, of Florida; step-sister Babette (Russell) Money; a step-brother Bryan (Mary) Bowen, of Columbus; many cousins and a longtime friend Jamey Williamson. Mark attended Bishop Flaget High School, Class of 1980 and was employed by Sheri Oliver of All Signs for 13 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, May 7, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8pm and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Saturday. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Mark A. Schumann Memorial Fund, c/o Ross Co. Banking Center, 222 E. Main St., Chillicothe.
