Mark Salyer

Mark W. Salyer, 59, of Richmond Dale, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 14, 1956, in OH, to the late Andrew and Gaytheal (Lusk) Salyer. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Derek) Blake; son Mark Andrew "Drew" (Katie Holton) Salyer, all of Richmond Dale; grandchildren: Isaac Blake, Westley Blake, Noah Holton and Hadley Salyer; his sister and brother-in-law Joanna (Fred) Spriggs, Richmond Dale; his niece Shanna Spriggs; great-niece SeAnna Spriggs; and his former wife, Lisha (Claytor) Boyer. He was predeceased by his parents and a niece Cathy Ann. Mark was a graduate of Southeastern High School, Class of 1975. He was a union pipefitter with the Huntington, WV, Local 521 Pipefitters. He was a member of the New Life CCCU in Richmond Dale and was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Mark was known for his generosity and enjoyed being a gracious host for family and friends. A memorial service will be celebrated at 1:00pm Sunday, October 11, 2015, at the New Life CCCU, with Pastor David Stulley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the New Life CCCU, PO Box 52, Richmond Dale, OH, 45673.
