Mark Mentges

Mark Alan Mentges, 63, of Chillicothe, died February 28, 2015 at the Ohio State University Hospitals, Ross Heart Hospital, following a month long illness. He was born December 18, 1951 in Akron, OH to the late Charles A. and Jean H. Miller Mentges. Survivors include his sister, Cheryl A. (Dr. Dan) Toth, of Chillicothe; nieces and nephew, Suzanne Toth, of Chillicothe, and Charles (Christina Davey) Toth and Kathryn (Matthew) Bruns, all of New Albany. Mr. Mentges retired in 2001 from Goodyear Atomic as a chemical engineer. He worked as a nuclear materials engineer, in systems engineering and later as a quality assurance engineer. He was a graduate of Miami University-Ohio, and received his master's degree from Ohio University. He is a member of the Phi Delta Beta fraternity, the BPOE 52, and Sons of the American Legion, Post 62. He was an avid golfer, played the guitar, and enjoyed spending time with friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Thursday at Haller's.
